Scholarships for High School Seniors

APPLICATIONS FOR SENIORS GRADUATING IN 2020 ARE NOW BEING ACCEPTED.

Certain funds may stipulate that recipients be graduates of particular area high schools. Additionally, scholarships may be intended for students pursuing study in certain areas. There may be other requirements. Please check all requirements before you apply for any scholarship. Please note and observe deadlines for submitting applications. Amounts and/or number of projected awards are subject to change.

Walter & Doris Herd Memorial Agricultural Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
Scholarships for graduating Marysville students (includes Ohio Hi-Point students) with demonstrated interest in agriculture.
Jason K. Mathewson Memorial Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
Initiated by the Marysville F.F.A. Alumni, Jason's family, and friends, this scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating MHS student with at least 3 years membership in the F.F.A.
 

Ben and Mary Coleman Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
This renewable scholarship is available to graduating seniors from Fairbanks, Marysville, Ohio Hi-Point Career Center, North Union, Tolles Technical & Career Center, and Tri-Rivers Career Center who intend to pursue agricultural studies at a post secondary institution.
Lucy Ellen Haywood Pastoral and Missionary Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
This Scholarship was founded in 2020 in memory of Lucy Ellen Haywood. Lucy’s faith was of the highest priority in her life and her guiding light. As such, via her last will and testament, she included provision to lend financial support to those men and women who choose to pursue the field of ministry.The intent of the Fund is to annually distribute a minimum of $2,000 in the form of an academic scholarship. Applicants must be from Union County and applicants must be enrolled in an accredited theological seminary program or comparable.
Daniels Hinkley, IMPACT60 Community Service Award
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
This award was created to recognize and reward Union County, Ohio graduating seniors who have had a positive impact on their communities through community service and volunteering.
Memorial Hospital Medical Staff Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
The Medical Staff of Memorial Hospital wishes to support the educational pursuits of those Union County residents that desire to matriculate into an accredited field of study in health, with intentions to enter the medical field. ( Ex. medicine, nursing, physical therapy, biological sciences)
The Marilyn Shearer Memorial Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
The scholarship is dedicated to the memory of Union County DAR member, Marilyn Shearer, whose generous contribution helped underwrite this scholarship. An applicant must be a female graduating senior of North Union, Marysville, or Fairbanks High Schools OR a female descendant of the Hannah Emerson Dustin Chapter DAR-Union County members of 2019 or prior.

Scholarship recipients will be chosen on the basis of the following: An 800-1000 word essay on “How Important is it that America uses the Constitution as its guidelines?”, academic achievement, community service, and financial need.
The Summer Theater Workshop Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
The scholarship is available to any Union County graduating senior who has participated in Summer Theater Workshop.
 

Charles E. Bynner and Carole Wendy Bynner Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
This scholarship was created in honor of Charles and Carole Bynner. The Bynners are long time residents of Union County and are keenly aware of the importance of education. For that reason, they generously funded this ongoing scholarship as a way to pay forward to the present and future Union County-residing students of Dublin Jerome, Fairbanks, and Jonathan Alder High Schools (and their affiliated vocational/tech schools). Scholarship recipients will be chosen on the basis of the following: academics, school activities, community service, financial need, and commitment to complete planned course of study.

Sargent V. Chamberlain Kiwanis Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
Two separate Kiwanis Scholarship funds were developed in 2002 to provide scholarships to promising area students.

The Sargent V. Chamberlain-Kiwanis College Scholarship Fund benefits a student from Fairbanks High School. These awards are based on qualities such as character, industriousness, class rank, perseverance, need, and integrity.
The David Fisher Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
This scholarship was created by the Fairbanks High School Class of 1965 in loving memory of Vietnam Veteran David Fisher (K.I.A.). The scholarship will be awarded to a graduating Fairbanks High School student. Because Spec 5 David Fisher served as a medic in the army, preference will be given to applicants planning to pursue a course of study in Emergency Medicine (ex: paramedic, nurse's aide, nursing), or Public Safety Service (ex: EMT, Firefighter, Police), or mechanical career opportunities. Consideration will be given to other fields of study based on the pool of applicants.
Darla Hall-Barrett Memorial Scholarship for the Arts
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
Mrs. Hall-Barrett was passionate about the arts, and brought the arts to students through an artist in residency program and through her puppetry. Her generous donation to Fairbanks allows for this scholarship in her honor.
The Patty Pease Memorial Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
The Fund memorializes the life and 45 year career of Fairbanks School District teacher and coach, Patty Pease. The Fund will award an annual scholarship to a graduating senior of Fairbanks High School whom is involved in volleyball and/or is an outstanding math student.

Pat Conlon Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
The Pat Conlon Scholarship for Marysville Students was established by her adult children in honor of their mother and long-time Marysville resident, Pat Conlon. The scholarship is awarded in Pat Conlon’s honor and memory to recognize students that exemplify the qualities she modeled and espoused – strong character, academic achievement, leadership, and school and community involvement.
Andrew Daum Memorial Soccer Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
This scholarship is in memory of Marysville High School soccer athlete Andrew Daum, and is awarded to a graduating Marysville senior boys and girls soccer team member. Applicants must be scheduled for enrollment in a post-secondary accredited college, university or technical school.
Robert & Joan Deaton Memorial Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
The Robert & Joan Deaton Memorial Scholarship was founded in 2016 in memory of Robert & Joan. In the mid 1960's Bob and Joan moved from New York City to Marysville to raise their 3 children. Joan spent over 15 years as the Marysville Middle School librarian and both were active members of the community. Bob and Joan built their world around their family and were strong proponents of education. Scholarship recipients will be chosen on the basis of: financial need, academic achievement, and special family circumstances.
Larry & Jan Dunn Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
Funded through the generosity of long time Marysville residents Larry & Jan Dunn, these annual scholarships are awarded to Marysville and North Union High School graduating seniors pursuing education at the college level.
The Charles and Marjorie Green Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
Established in July of 1999, Charles Green’s widow Marjorie, and his family members initiated this scholarship Fund. Eligible Marysville and Ohio Hi-Point students must be pursuing post high-school trade or technical training including diploma, certificate, and associate degree programs. (Examples: restaurant mgt., cosmetology, mechanics, auto body, allied medicine, etc.)
Corey Hoehn Memorial Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
This scholarship is available to graduating members of any Marysville boys’ or girls’ sports teams who are scheduled for enrollment in a post-secondary two- or four-year accredited college or university. Must have a 3.0 GPA or above.
G.L. Kingsmore Hall of Fame Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
This scholarship is available to graduating Marysville students -- not restricted to athletes -- who are scheduled for enrollment in a 2 year or 4 year post-secondary accredited college or university.
Must have a 2.5 GPA or above.
Marysville High School Alumni Foundation Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
These annual awards by the Marysville High School Alumni support scholarships for graduating Marysville students who have displayed outstanding academic and leadership qualities.
There will be multiple scholarships awarded.

The Elijah Meadows Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
The Elijah Meadows Scholarship is awarded in memory of Elijah Dalton Cole Meadows, an accomplished artist and self-taught guitarist. Awards are for the purpose of assisting graduating seniors from Marysville High School’s class of 2021 who intend to pursue a post-secondary educationat any accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or technical school. Award criteria include Academic Achievement, Community Service, and Special Circumstances. Multiple academic scholarships of at least $1,000 will be awarded to graduating members of Elijah’s class of 2021.
Dr. C.B. Mills Memorial Kiwanis Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
Two separate Kiwanis Scholarship funds were developed in 2002 to provide scholarships to promising area students.
The Dr. C.B. Mills Memorial-Kiwanis College Scholarship Fund benefits a Marysville student. These awards are based on qualities such as character, industriousness, class rank, perseverance, need, and integrity.
The Mintier Veteran’s Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
This scholarship was created by the Family and friends of Bob Mintier for the purpose of assisting veteran’s children who are also Marysville graduating seniors and display exceptional character and citizenship. The scholarship award may be applied to any 2-year technical college or accredited four-year college or university.
Pat and Tom Nuckles Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
This scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors from Marysville and Triad who are pursuing a post-secondary education. The scholarship may be applied to any accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or technical school.

Lya Snider Vocal Music Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
The Lya Snider Vocal Music Scholarship for Marysville graduating seniors was established in loving memory of Lya Snider. Lya loved music and it was always a major part of her life. She received a Bachelors of Music degree from Heidelberg University in 1949. After moving to Marysville in 1957, she spent the next 60 years performing and directing vocal music until her death in February 2017. Music was part of her very being.
Dave & Elizabeth Ward Eagle Scout Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
The Dave & Elizabeth Ward Eagle Scout Scholarship was established for Marysville graduating seniors who are scheduled for enrollment in a four year college or university, and have achieved the scouting rank of Eagle.
Dave & Elizabeth Ward Music Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
The Dave & Elizabeth Ward Music Scholarship was established for Marysville graduating seniors who are scheduled for enrollment in a four year college or university, and are planning to major in music.
 

Burnside/Imbody/Fish Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
Sara Mae Burnside, Kathleen Imbody, and Julie Mae Fish directed significant gifts from their estates to fund annually awarded scholarships to deserving North Union High School graduating seniors.
Bob and Eula Jean Davis Memorial Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
The Fund memorializes the lives of York Center High School and Richwood High School graduates Bob and Eula Jean Davis. The Davis’ three children all graduated from North Union High School. This annual scholarship is awarded to a graduating North Union student who models excellence in academics, school activities, and community service.
Larry & Jan Dunn Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
Funded through the generosity of long time Marysville residents Larry & Jan Dunn, these annual scholarships are awarded to Marysville and North Union High School graduating seniors pursuing education at the college level.
Robert M. Fox Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
This Scholarship was funded by Ruby Fox in memory of Robert. Robert Fox devoted his life to agriculture and instilled a passion and love of education to his family.
Jeffrey L. "Griff" Griffith Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
This fund was created in memory of NUHS Class of '72 graduate Jeffrey "Griff" Griffith. Griff was a gifted student-athlete, earning all-conference honors in football and all-state in baseball. He was a member of National Honor Society, and an avid outdoorsman. Scholarship recipients will be chosen on the basis of the following: athletics participation, leadership, and financial need.
William Logan Krebehenne Memorial Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
This scholarship fund was created for the purpose of assisting graduating North Union High School seniors (includes vocational school students connected to NUHS) pursuing a post-secondary education in an agriculture or natural resources related, or healthcare related major. Scholarship recipients will be chosen on the basis of the following: agricultural connection, financial need, academic potential, community service, character.
Dan B. Kyle Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
The Dan B. Kyle Memorial Scholarship Fund was placed within the Union County Foundation in April, 1994 by his loving family. The scholarship is awarded to exceptional graduating seniors of North Union High School who are planning on attending a four year college. This scholarship is in memory of Mr. Kyle, who was the president of the Richwood Banking Company and was a leader in the Richwood business community.
Conner Ann Miller Memorial Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
This scholarship was created in loving memory of Conner Ann Miller. Conner graduated from North Union High School in 2017. She was an outstanding member of FFA, an advocate and supporter of the Richwood Fair, a member of the Richwood Fair Board, and a devoted and dear friend to many.
Rita Rubeck Parker Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
The Rita Rubeck Parker Scholarship for North Union High School or Tri-Rivers Career Center graduating seniors was established in memory of Bernard “Barney” Rubeck. One of nine children growing up during the depression, Barney had to leave school after the 8th grade to work and help his family during difficult times. Bernard Rubeck always stressed the importance of education and knew the cost of higher education and the financial burden that cost could place on families. Scholarship recipients will be chosen on the basis of the following: financial need, academic achievement, extra curricular activities, and community service.
Richwood Area Business Association Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
The Richwood Area Business Association Scholarship was created for the purpose of assisting graduating seniors from North Union High School and Tri-Rivers Career Center who intend to pursue a post-secondary education in the general field of business.
The Seiter Family Memorial Scholarship
APPLICATIONS FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP ARE NOT YET BEING ACCEPTED.
This scholarship was created in loving memory of L. Wayne Seiter. Wayne graduated from Prospect High School in 1954. He was an outstanding member of FFA and a student athlete. Graduating North Union Seniors are eligible.Selection will be based on academics, community service, athletic participation, agriculture connection, financial need.
The Marilyn Shearer Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors from Triad and Marysville who are pursuing a post-secondary education. The scholarship may be applied to any accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or technical school.
