This scholarship is in honor of Josh Huffman, a Marysville resident who saw the need to grow the passion for tennis in our community. When his youngest daughter showed an affinity for tennis, he saw that there were no opportunities for girls to build their tennis skills in Marysville. He worked with the Marysville girls’ high school coach to grow the program and started a junior high club team. He wanted to grow the passion for tennis in Marysville so that girls in Marysville would have a sport to play for a lifetime. After he passed away, the junior high club team eventually became a school team. His dream lived on. This scholarship is given in for commitment to the Marysville Girls’ Tennis Team and a passion for tennis.
