This scholarship was started in memory of Ronald G. Long, a dedicated 30-year associate of Select Sires, Inc. in Plain City, Ohio, where he retired in 2003 as Vice-President of Genetic Programs. It is intended to support students pursuing a post-secondary degree at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university or a vocational school and pursuing a career in agriculture.
