This donor-advised fund supports community organizations, projects, and initiatives for the betterment of the residents of Union County.

This fund was established by Barbara and Roger C. Nicol to support worthwhile and deserving causes and projects in and around Union County.

Ben & Mary Coleman Scholarship Fund

These annual renewable scholarships are open to graduating seniors from Union County schools who will be pursuing agricultural studies at the college level.

BG7 – Blake Gorton Memorial Scholarship

Established by Todd and Allison Gorton in memory of their son Blake, this scholarship honors Fairbanks High School students who reflect his kindness, enthusiasm, leadership, and community spirit.

BG7 Foundation Fund

This fund was established by Todd and Allison Gorton in memory of their son, Blake, who was a junior at Fairbanks High School when he passed away in 2024. It helps support various programs especially for youth development.

Brighter Days Union County

Brighter Days Union County honors recovery and wellness by providing support and celebrating milestones for those in the Union County Drug Court program.

Care Train of Union County

This agency fund supports the work of the Care Train of Union County, which serves the county’s economically challenged families with children, disabled adults and seniors.

Chad Flowers Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship, designed to help a Marysville student move into a career in business, is dedicated to Chad’s memory and his contribution to the growth of business in the City of Marysville.

Charles Andrew Baesmann II Memorial Fund

The fund memorializes the life of MHS student Charles Andrew (Charlie, Chaz, Scooter) Baesmann II. The fund supports the Marysville High School FFA program, and Union County 4-H Clubs.

Cline Family Community Fund

This donor-advised Fund was established by Union County residents Mark & Cheryl Cline in 2021. The fund supports community organizations that provide services for the betterment of the residents of Union County.

Corey Hoehn Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is available to senior members of the Marysville High School boys’ baseball, basketball, or football teams; or Marysville High School girls’ softball or basketball teams.

Dan B. Kyle Scholarship Fund

This fund enables scholarships to be awarded each year to qualified seniors at North Union High School who are going into the field of Finance or Education.

Darla Hall-Barrett Scholarship for the Arts

This fund will support school projects within the Fairbanks School District, and scholarships for graduating FHS seniors who have participated in the arts for at least two years.

David A. Vollrath Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was created to honor David Vollrath’s 20 plus years of selfless service and acknowledge his lasting impact on the Union County Foundation.

David Fisher Scholarship Fund

Created in loving memory of Vietnam Veteran David Fisher, this scholarship is awarded to a graduating Fairbanks High School student who is pursuing a medical-related degree at a 2 or 4-year university or vocational/trade school.

Donald Jolliff Family Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was established in honor and memory of James Donald “Don” Jolliff. This annual scholarship is awarded to a graduating North Union student pursuing an agriculture-related degree.

Dr. Douglas S. Skura Scholarship Fund

This scholarship fund supports Union County students pursuing an M.D. or D.O. degree and is available to those employed by Memorial Hospital or immediate family members of its employees.

Eagle’s Benevolence Charity Fund

This fund supports high school athletics in Union County, as well as providing significant financial resources for Marysville’s Fire and Police departments and the Union County Sheriff’s department.

Elizaveta Fund

This fund was established to support deserving Union County families looking to adopt an orphan either domestically or internationally.

Elk’s Benevolent Fund

This fund supports a variety of local organizations that strengthen the Union County community, including veterans groups, senior programs, youth athletics, and law enforcement initiatives.

Encore! Fund

This fund supports the local Encore! Theater group which allows high school freshmen through age 20 to participate in an annual summer musical.

Fairbanks Education Fund

Intended for the enrichment of Fairbanks Schools through grants for teachers and staff. This fund is a way for people of the community, alumni, and friends to give back to their school.

FosterFriends

This fund provides money for programs or activities that cannot be funded through the Department of Human Services which include civic clubs, school and church projects, extra-curricular activities, sports programs, and hobbies for those in foster care.

Gerten Family Foundation Fund

Established by Union County residents Greg & Angelina Gerten and Family, this donor-advised fund will support worthwhile and deserving causes and projects in and around Union County.

Hildreth Endowment Fund

This fund was started by Miriam Hildreth to support the Pharisburg United Methodist Church in its growth and ministries.

Impact 60 Fund

This fund will help support various initiatives in the county with a current focus on addressing the drug problems affecting the youth of Union County.

James Fitzgerald Memorial Scholarship

In the spirit of Jim, this scholarship will be awarded to a graduating Fairbanks, Marysville, or North Union High School student who shows a commitment to using their talents and abilities to make a difference in others’ lives.

Jason K. Mathewson Memorial Scholarship

Initiated by the Marysville FFA Alumni, Jason’s family, and friends, this scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating MHS student who displays leadership, responsibility, and a commitment to the Marysville FFA.

John & Kandy Taylor College Book Allowance

This fund is in honor and memory of John and Kandy Taylor and provides funds for school-related purchases (i.e. textbooks, classroom materials, supplies) each semester, for a student pursuing secondary education.

Jonathan Alder Education Foundation

The Union County Foundation is proud to partner with the Jonathan Alder Education Foundation to secure and administer contributions for the enrichment of the Jonathan Alder Schools through grants, student scholarships, and gifts.

Josh Huffman Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is in honor of Josh Huffman, a Marysville resident who saw the need to grow the passion for tennis in our community. This scholarship is given in for commitment to the Marysville Girls’ Tennis Team and a passion for tennis.

Keckley Park Development Fund

Donations to this fund will enhance the present park which includes a playground, picnic shelter, wetlands, hiking trails, fishing lake, ball fields, amphitheater, and a 15-acre prairie restoration project.

Larry & Jan Dunn Scholarship Fund

Funded through the generosity of long-time Marysville residents Larry & Jan Dunn, these annual scholarships are awarded to Marysville and North Union High School graduating seniors pursuing education at the college level.

Laverne & Juanita Yoder Charitable Fund

This fund supports annual scholarships to members of the West Liberty United Methodist Church. It also supports Union & Marion County organizations providing hospice care, hospital services, and extended or skilled medical care.

Lee Family Fund

Established by Mr. & Mrs. Lutrelle Lee and family, this fund to support charitable causes and organizations in Union County.

Lewis Family Fund

The Lewis Family established a fund in order to benefit many causes dear to them and their community, especially the YMCA.

Life Story Portrait Fund

The project engages and collaborates with 15 women serving life sentences in the Ohio Reformatory for Women (ORW) to tell their story in a variety of artistic mediums.

Lucy Ellen Haywood Scholarship Fund

This scholarship was founded in memory of Lucy Ellen Haywood to lend financial support to those men and women who choose to pursue the field of ministry. 

Marilyn Shearer Memorial Scholarship Fund

This annual scholarship is awarded to a graduating Marysville High School, Fairbanks High School, or North Union High School female student, preferable with a legacy connection to Daughters of the American Revolution.

McCarthy & Cox Cares Community Fund

This fund, established by McCarthy & Cox Retirement & Estate Specialists, will support a broad array of diverse community needs as determined by a committee of Union County citizens.

McElheny Family Foundation Fund

Established by former Richwood resident and M.I.T. graduate John D. McElheny, this fund supports annual academic awards in the form of quality books to North Union college prep students in grades 8-12.

Memorial Hospital Medical Staff Scholarship Fund

The Medical Staff of Memorial Hospital wishes to support Union County residents that desire to pursue an accredited field of study in health including medicine, nursing, physical therapy, or biological sciences.

MHS Alumni Scholarship Foundation Fund

The fund annually supports multiple scholarships to graduating Marysville High School seniors. Selections are based on excellence in academic achievement, citizenship, leadership, and service.

MHS Athletic Hall of Fame Foundation Fund

This fund supports the activities of the MHS Hall of Fame including the annual induction ceremony and banquet for new inductees and the student-athlete mentoring program.

Mosaic Fund

This fund was anonymously formed by a Marysville family. It supports a wide range of charitable causes and organizations.

Never Dunn Learning Teacher Scholarship

These annual scholarships are awarded to teachers at Marysville or North Union Schools who are looking to pursue graduate coursework supportive of their district's instructional program.

Northwest Neighborhood Alliance Scholarship Fund

This fund supports scholarship awards to one graduating Marysville High School student and one graduating North Union High School student. Particular priority is given to students pursuing an environmental field of study.

Olivia Rich Memorial Family Fund

This fund was established in memory of Creekview Intermediate School instructional coach Olivia Rich by her family. The focus of the fund is youth education, ministry, and the fight against cancer.

Pat and Tom Nuckles Scholarship Fund

This fund was created through the estate of Patricia J. Nuckles to assist graduating Marysville High School and Triad High School students pursuing post-secondary education.

Pat Conlon Scholarship Fund

This scholarship fund was initiated by the family of Pat Conlon to honor her commitment to education. The fund supports scholarships to graduating Marysville High School students.

Patrick and Dorothy Mudgett Scholarship Fund

This scholarship fund supports scholarship awards to graduating Marysville High School students who are pursuing post-secondary education in nursing or medical-related field.

Paul and Betty Devine Fund

This fund honors Paul Devine’s commitment to the pursuit of athletics for all persons, particularly those having special needs. The fund will prioritize, but not limit, its support towards organizations such as Special Olympics.

Pearl M.J. Nicol & Lucia A.E. Nicol Memorial Fund

The focus of the fund is intended, but not limited to, the support of agricultural and/or vocational programs within the Fairbanks School District and the support of special needs/projects of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Perry Family Funds

The George Perry Family Fund and the Perry Family Charitable Fund were established to support various charitable causes throughout Union County.

Plain City Lions Fund

The general purpose and focus of the fund shall be to support community organizations, projects, and initiatives for the betterment of Plain City, Union County, Madison County, and their residents.

Play Like Jay — Jay Truitt Fund

The focus of this fund is intended, but not limited to, the needs-based underwriting support of pay-to-play fees within the Union County Schools program area.

Pottersburg Bridge Preservation Fund

The purpose of the Fund is to underwrite improvements and maintenance to the Pottersburg Bridge, which is an integral part of the annual Covered Bridge Bluegrass Festival.

Remembering RED Fund

This donor-advised fund was established by Union County Paul & Chelsea Melcher with a focus to advance the cause of professional music performance in Union County.

Richwood Trailblazers Fund

This fund provides an easy and impactful way for individuals, families, and businesses to contribute to the long-term care and improvement of the park’s walking trails, lake, and recreational areas.

Rides 4 Refugees

This fund helps to raise awareness and financial support for the Rides 4 Refugees charity organization.

Rita Rubeck Parker Fund

The fund assists graduating seniors from North Union High School and Tri-Rivers Career Center, and may be applied to any accredited two-year, four-year university, or technical school.

Robert and Joan Deaton Scholarship Fund

This fund was formed in memory of Robert and Joan Deaton by their children. The fund supports a scholarship to a Marysville High School graduating senior to pursue a post-secondary education of his or her choosing.

Robert M. Fox Scholarship Fund

This fund will provide scholarships for North Union students showing good academic skills in Vocational Agriculture, and also a commitment to involvement and service to their school and community.

Ronald G. Long Scholarship Fund

This fund supports students pursuing a post-secondary degree at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university or a vocational school and pursuing a career in agriculture.

Roy A Wallace BIF Memorial Fund

Established to memorialize Beef Improvement Federation 40-year member Roy Wallace, this fund supports beef breeding genetics and scholarships for students to apply to a field of study related to the beef cattle industry.

Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation Union County Fund

The mission of this fund is to inspire, connect, and cultivate communities of purpose in the areas of environmental improvement, youth empowerment, and community gardens and greenspaces.

Seiter Family Scholarship Fund

Established in 2019 in honor and memory of L. Wayne Seiter. This annual scholarship is awarded to a graduating North Union student based on FFA/athletics participation, academics, and community service.

Stolte Family Fund

This fund was initiated by long-time Union County Engineer Steve Stolte and his wife Mardy Hanlon-Stolte. The fund supports community development with an emphasis on arts and culture.

Stritmatter Family Fund

This fund was initiated through the generosity of Jack & Nancy Stritmatter. The fund will primarily support children and youth activities at Marysville First Presbyterian Church.

Susan Finch Simpson Memorial Scholarship Fund

This scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior from Marysville High School based on academic achievement and potential, character, community service, and financial need.

T & N Family Foundation Fund

This donor-advised fund was anonymously established by a charitably minded Marysville family to support worthwhile and deserving causes and projects in and around Union County.

Ted & Kathryn Miller Memorial Fund

This fund is meant as a lasting legacy dedicated to the memory of Ted & Kathryn Miller. Distributions will benefit the Richwood Church of Christ, which may include, but is not limited to, college scholarships for its members.

The Conner Ann Miller Scholarship Fund

Established in 2018 in honor and memory of Conner Ann Miller. This annual scholarship is awarded to a graduating North Union student based on FFA participation, academics, and community service.

The Mintier Veteran’s Scholarship Fund

The fund memorializes the life of Vietnam veteran Robert Mintier. Scholarship candidates must be graduating seniors from MHS and must be sons or daughters of U.S. Veterans.

The Wirchanski Family Fund

This donor-advised fund was established in 2021 by Union County supporter John Wirchanski. Its purpose is to provide for the benefit and beautification of Jerome Township.

Tim Berg Memorial Fund

In memory of North Union graduate Tim Berg, this fund will support various athletic programs at North Union High School ranging from an Athletic Scholarship to donations to individual North Union athletic programs.

Tom & Pat Nicol Legacy Scholarship Fund

The Tom & Pat Nicol Legacy Scholarship was established to honor the enduring commitment of Tom (Fairbanks FFA Alumnus, Class of 1975) and Pat Nicol to the youth of Union County, particularly those involved in agriculture and the Fairbanks FFA Chapter.

Two Quiet Veterans

This fund was anonymously formed and is privately funded. It supports a wide range of charitable causes and organizations.

Union County Fair Board Fund

This fund was initiated by The Union County Fair Board to provide financial support for the Union County Fair and other Fair Board projects.

Union County Foundation Emergency Needs Fund

When urgent needs arise, UCF uses this fund to collect donations and disburse resources efficiently, ensuring support reaches local organizations and individuals without delay.

Union County Leathernecks

This fund makes charitable distributions to causes and actions that they deem worthy and appropriate emphasizing support to the United States Marine Corps "family" consisting of current and former servicemembers and their families.

Union County Singsations Fund

The intended and sole purpose of this fund is to support the activities of the Union County Singsations which broadly advances the cause of musical performance in Union County.

Veterans Remembrance Fund

This fund was established to develop a permanent veterans monument in Marysville and to establish a computer database honoring and identifying all Union County Veterans.

Walter & Doris Herd Scholarship Fund

The fund memorializes the lives of Walter & Doris Herd. The fund supports scholarships for graduating MHS agricultural students. Uniquely, this scholarship is not based on academic standing but more on agriculture affiliation and service.

Wounded Warrior Dogs Project Fund

Initiated by the creator of the Wounded Warrior Dogs carved sculptures, James Mellick and his wife Marcia, this fund will support and display of the wounded warrior dog sculptures.
